Just another mind map…

  1. Have you tried Freemind or Vym for mindmapping? I like Freemind but Vym looks nicer. They run on your computer and they can export to HTML, PDF, and image files.

If you have Linux, installing is super easy because both pieces of software are in all major repositories including Ubuntu Software Center and Synaptic Package Manager.

Also, I have not tried it but I’m planning on checking it out, Semantik, formally known as kdissert.
“Though this application shares some similarities with general-purpose
mindmapping tools like FreeMind or Vym, the very first goal of kdissert
is to create general-purpose documents, not mindmaps.”
“Semantik is a mindmapping-like tool to help students to produce complicated documents very quickly and efficiently: presentations, dissertations, thesis, reports. While targetted mostly at students, Semantik can also help teachers, decision maker, engineers and businessmen.”

    Have a good one, Andrew.
