tinderbox way

someone last week had mentioned that i should look at ‘tinderbox way.’ i don’t know what it is exactly…something of an information architecture tool. as the semester winds down i’m looking at a few areas to try and tie together:

Language [writing, linguistics (morphology, syntax, phonology, semantics and phonetics), words in general…does this include typography?]

Photography [ties in elements of narrative…in a visual sense]

Maps [Jason Bailey reminded not to leave this out; that he loved my ‘you are here’ interpretation]

things to check out:

Bruno Nadeau (especially ‘Still Standing’)

Camille Utterback (‘Text Rain’)

Stefan Schemat (‘Wasser’)
