a day today

so far the fight on coffee goes well. and so does the vegetarian diet. i’m back on my vegetable juice: carrot, celery, ginger (burns so good) and cucumber. a fantastic mix if i may say so myself. energy level has gone up…oh, i’d say, 50%. entonces, great success. walking and writing are back in too. today was sunny, 65 degrees and i walked about 6 miles. i’ll no longer be ‘old man ellis’ in due time…j’espere. i’m reading ‘einstein’s dreams’ by alan lightman. very inspiring little book. it reminds me a bit of ‘marcovaldo’ by calvino. i wrote a short story based on one of the chapters and tied in something that happened to me in paris one day; part fiction part non.

In this world, there are two times. There is mechanical time and there is body time. The first is as rigid and metallic as a massive pendulum of iron that swings back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. The second squirms and wriggles like a bluefish in a bay. The first is unyielding, predetermined. The second makes up its mind as it goes along.

  1. Time is a bitch. Schedules suck. If Einstein was so smart, why didn’t he get rid of time. Then we could just do things and we wouldn’t have to have someone else tell us it’s the right time. Or we wouldn’t have to go somewhere if we didn’t feel like it. Planning sucks. How am I supposed to know what I want to do later?
